“Join us at Chawkandi Art on 13th June 2023, 4:30 pm for a talk with Masuma Halai Khwaja, the Karachi-based multi-media artist and curator. She curated a retrospective of acclaimed contemporary miniature artist Aisha Khalid’s work in January 2022. The show was well received locally, and its reverberations were felt as far away as New Zealand!The show had been followed with interest by the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery in New Plymouth, New Zealand. They reached out to Masuma to bring a show featuring works by Aisha Khalid to their Gallery.In a conversation with Nusrat Khawaja, Masuma will discuss her experience of curating a show across two continents.This informative talk will be of interest to art students, art writers, curators and art administrators and gallerists.”
