Abro Khud Bux, recognized as a social commentator and activist of grit, an artist of great sensitivity and an illustrator and political cartoonist with a sardonic wit, is also a photographer with a keen sensibility. Here Abro has taken images that are ubiquitous and yet profound, created as much by vandalistic humans as the ravages of nature. When political posters are pasted on street walls, they are soon stripped and pasted over with fresh new messages. These visually and metaphorically layered pictures of ‘inadvertent art’ have not been digitally manipulated by the photographer except by his roving, piercing gaze.
Some of these images are reflections in the water taken at the harbour front.
