Jecza Gallery will showcase a dynamic selection of works at Untitled Art Fair Miami Beach 2024, presenting Romanian artists Roman Cotoșman, Molnár Zoltán, and Norbert Ștefan, alongside Austrian artist Nana Mandl. This exhibition explores the intersection of Eastern European and Western artistic practices, offering a multifaceted view of contemporary art.
Roman Cotoșman (1935–2006) was known for his fusion of geometric abstraction and kinetic art. His work Expansion in Black (1992–1993) exemplifies his ability to explore the tension between order and chaos through the use of acrylic on wood panel, offering viewers a visual experience that transcends traditional representation.
Molnár Zoltán (1937–1999) focused on non-figurative art with a precise, constructivist style. His piece Potente Simetrice (1974), created using synthetic paint on canvas, reflects his mastery of geometric forms and rhythmic color, inspired by nature and its structural elements.
Norbert Ștefan (1990, RO) brings a contemporary perspective to the booth with works like The Flow of Generations I (2024), an oil on canvas painting that fuses digital and analog processes. His art evokes a contemplative and apocalyptic atmosphere, bridging the realms of abstraction and digital media.
Nana Mandl (1991, AT) presents her textile and embroidery works, such as Making Love in 2018 (2018), which combine personal memories with digital elements. Her layered collages, like Shopping Mall Selfie (2023), merge analog and digital archives to create intricate compositions that reflect the cultural zeitgeist.
