The larger cities of Pakistan are turning into modern metropolises that are hard to handle for those who have inhabited the old cities since a few decades.
No structured growth prevails; ill planning is accepted with arms wide open.
Be it enormous road construction and transportation plans, or government building extensions –they require funds that could educate an entire province for years!
Friendly, green neighborhoods are turning into dry, polluted car parks and commercial monstrosities. The tax payers’ money goes into huge, visible growths that offer a lot less than what we see.
A blind eye is turned to the treasures of the past, which should have been preserved and valued for the sake of history and learning.
