Noorjehan Bilgrami is that one name which needs no introduction. She has earned fame and recognition across the world. She has recently received Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for research, education, and her invaluable contribution in the arts.

Noorjehan Bilgrami is a multi-disciplinary artist, curator and educationist. As the Principal Curator she curated the inner journey for silver award winning Pakistan Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020. She was also the curator for the Art Project at the new International Airport, Islamabad. Noorjehan is a Founder member of the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVS) and served as its first Executive Director and former Chairperson, Board of Governors. She is grounded in the traditional crafts of Pakistan and her atelier Koel spearheaded the revival of handloom weaving, hand-block printing and the use of natural dyes. Koel Gallery has provided a vibrant platform for new and emerging artists and Noorjehan has curated over 200 exhibitions for the gallery. She has held numerous solo shows and participated in exhibitions in Pakistan and abroad. Her publications include ‘Sindh jo Ajrak’, ‘Craft Traditions of Pakistan’, and ‘Born of Fire’.
